3DaysofDesign are probably the most anticipated days for the lovers of Scandinavian design. An annual event showcases the greatest talents from the worlds of design, craftsmanship, architecture, and production, allowing visitors to meet the creative people who are setting the trends for tomorrow.
On the last weekend of May, Copenhagen was full of events, and jot.jot was a proud part of the buzz. Upon an invitation from VALRYGG studio, jot.jot participated in a three-way collaboration: VALRYGG x jot.jot x Snohetta. For the special occasion, the architecture, interior, and design studio opened its doors to the public and invited to see carefully curated exhibition of items made for real spaces. As the name suggests, the show consisted of three parts, each focusing on one studio. The opening of the showcase was celebrated with a talk by Boris Berlin Design and Snohetta, who discussed the importance of collaborations while visitors were enjoying the items, the wine, and the people. Hosted by a passionate team of Scandinavian creatives, the event, aimed at putting the individual to the center of design, proved to be a success.
Next to VALRYYG‘s own collection, jot.jot got a chance to showcase Circle of Light pendant lamp, the entire BaBa family (3 seater sofa, easy chair, and pouf), Cross shelving system, Loop side table, Dedu coffee table, and Shadow chairs, designed by Danish Boris Berlin Design for jot.jot. And in the area next door, Snohetta was introducing their newest piece – a recycled chair, created for a Norwegian manufacturer NCP.
While there was a lot of buzz regarding VALRYGG x jot.jot x Snohetta, the whole city was filled with the most significant design ideas, pop-ups, exhibitions, and launches. If you couldn‘t attend, at least take a peek at 16 highlights selected by INTERIOR DESIGN, industry’s leading magazine. Spoiler alert: jot.jot’s Shadow chair is among their favorites.
